• Blank Canvas Granola!

Blank Canvas Granola is just my fancy way of saying that this is the only granola recipe you’re ever going to need! The reason being that I will give you the simplest way to make it and you get to customize it however you would like, add your own “colors” if you will. I’ll give you some customizing ideas after the instructions portion of this post, but let’s get straight to the recipe!

    Ingredients:

    4 cups Rolled Oats

1 tsp Salt (I prefer pink Himalayan)

    1/2 cup Coconut Oil

1/2 cup Honey (or your choice of sweetener)

    Instructions:

    Preheat oven to 350°F

Add all of these ingredients into a bowl and mix well. I like to use washed hands or put on gloves to do this, it’s so much easier to get everything mixed together. Pour onto a sheet pan and press down flat.

Bake for 20-25 min stirring halfway through.

If you want crumbly granola, mix it up straight after coming out of the oven. If you prefer clumpy granola, let it cool completely before breaking it up.

Store in in an airtight container for up to eight days.

🍁Cozy Fall Granola: add 1 cup chopped or sliced almonds and 1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice mix.

🥾Trail Mix Granola: add 1 cup peanuts and bake like normal. After baking, dump it straight into a bowl and mix in dried cranberries, raisins, and M&Ms.

🤑Livin’ Lux Granola: add 1/2 cup cashews, 1/2 cup Shelled pistachios and bake normally. After baking dump it into a bowl and add 1cup dark chocolate chips.

💪Protein Power Granola: add 1 cup mixed nuts, 1/4 cup chia seeds, 1/4 cup ground flaxseeds, 1/4 cup protein powder.

💐Garden Party Granola: add 1 cup pecans and bake like normal. After baking dump into a bowl with dried cranberries, freeze dried strawberries, dried pineapple, dried mango, and freeze dried apple.

  • The Oolong Blaze

I started drinking this while on a diet when I couldn’t find a way to make my coffee enjoyable without my regular whole milk and sugary syrups! It was such a hard transition for me but having a fun drink that was still healthy helped me so much. I hope this encourages you that being healthy doesn’t mean having tasteless food and drink. Quite the opposite really! When you restrict certain unhealthy foods (that creep in everywhere, making you lack true variety) you can start to get creative and find unique ways of enjoying what you consume. I’ve enjoyed this diet so much more than I ever would’ve expected and this Oolong Blaze drink has been a part of my enjoyment! It’s warm and spicy, and in my opinion, the perfect drink for feeling cozy in the fall and winter. I’m so glad I get to share it with you today!

    Ingredients:

    10 oz Boiling Water

    2 Oolong Tea Bags

    1/2 tsp Cinnamon

    1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper

    1 Tbsp Honey or Stevia

    1/4 cup hot Almond Milk

    Instructions:

Add the teabags, cinnamon, cayenne, and sweetener of your choice to the boiling water and steep for at least five minutes. Then heat up the almond milk. You can either use an espresso machine steam wand, or heat it on a pan on the stove. Then add the hot milk to the tea and sprinkle a bit of extra cinnamon on top. Enjoy!
